My Plan
LEARNING EXPERIENCE: REMEMBER AND BECOME
What are the most important spiritual truths the Lord has taught you?
The Lord has taught me who I am. I am his daughter. I have the potential to become like him. I know that he hears my prayers and listens to my pleas.
The Lord has taught me that he loves me, knows me, and is aware of me - as well as all of his other children. He has taught me to TRUST him rather than to fear. He has taught me that he is a merciful and loving God, and that I can be forgiven of my sins. He has taught me to see others as he sees them. He taught me that I NEED him every second of every hour of every day.
The Lord has taught me about faith in Jesus Christ. Faith in his infinite atonement. Faith that all things will work together for my good.
What Christlike attributes has the Lord helped you develop?
I have developed the christlike attribute of diligence! I love to WORK! I know that the Lord gave me the strength i needed to be his instrument each and every day. Diligence brings success and so much fulfillment. As I served diligently, my love for the lord and his work grew. I became more converted to the Lord.
Humility was something that I really had to work on throughout my mission but over time I have come to realize my FULL dependence on the Lord. I remember my own nothingness and that nothing would be possible or existant without the Lord. I know that I can do whatever the Lord needs me to do if I rely on him. I have become more grateful and recognize my blessings and tender mercies often.
I think the biggest christlike attribute I developed on my mission would be faith. Before my mission, I had very little faith. As I've done the simple things such as pray, read my scriptures, and repent, my faith has become unshaken. I believe whole heartedly that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and that he lives! I know that faith has the power to work miracles!
The Lord has helped me to develop charity. Charity for those I serve, my family, and most definitely my companions. I have been able to see them deeply and to understand them more fully. I care so much about the people I am surrounded by. I could not have loved people with the pure love of christ, without the Lord's help. He blessed me so much throughout the mission to see others as he does.
