Look outwards!

This week was awesome! We had some super cool experiences with the people we are teaching.

My comp was sick for a lot of the week so that was hard but luckily I never got sick and now she is better so YAY!! I have been taking vitamin C pills religiously hahah. I leave for west virginia on wednesday at 3:45 am hahah so early but I'm so excited!! I am so sad to leave the mtc and the friends I have made but I cant wait for my next adventure!!
We got to host the new missionaries this week and it was so fun but also brought back all the mems of leaving my family and it was sad to watch everyone leave theirs.

One thing I learned this week that I loved is that all we can do, is our very best. Sometimes we get so overwhelmed feeling like we have so much to do or that we can be better at this or that. BUT, we give what we can!! If we give what we can and give our best offering to the lord, he will ACCEPT it and MAGNIFY it. You and your offering will always be enough for him. Your BEST will be good enough.

My favorite part of the week was listening to a talk by elder bednar called the character of christ that they only show to missionaries. It talks about how christ ALWAYS turns OUTward when the natural man would turn INward. My favorite example of this is when he suffers in the garden for all of our sins. He felt every pain, trial, or burden any of us have ever felt. He had drops of blood falling from every pore. After going through something like that, he could've chosen to quit. He could've chosen to walk away, but instead he chose to be our SAVIOR. after going through something like that he could've chosen to be depressed and hurt and sad, but he forgets himself and his our problems and HEALS the person who is about to crucify him. And then, talking about the people who are crucifying him, he says "father forgive them, for they know not what they do" ONCE AGAIN TURNING OUTWARDS. There is countless examples of christ turning outwards. This is something I am really going to try to work on. Focusing completely on others and forgetting my own selfish feelings or desires. He is the perfect example! Turning to god and away from ourselves is the only thing that brings lasting joy and happiness!!

Thank you everyone for all of your love and support!! I am so grateful for each of you!
All my love, sister brinton
