Raymond's baptism
Such a happy week! Raymond was baptized and confirmed this weekend. It was one of the happiest days of my life. It has been such a blessing and a JOY helping raymond come closer to christ. I know I'll be forever friends with that old man. When he came out of the water he said "that was great". Hahha he is so happy. SO happy. He says he hasn't sinned yet so he's "still perfect".
One day we went and tried to knock on a couple doors of people we know and they didnt answer. We were driving away and sister russell saw this guy walking up the street and felt like we needed to go talk to him!! So we pulled over super fast and practically chased him up a hill and he looked back and saw we were running after him and he started running hahahhaha it was so funny we are so awkward. We talked to him for a little but he was just uncomfortable and not interested in what we had to say. Embarrassed, we walked back to the car and I felt like we should try the house we were parked next to. A cute mom opened the door and let us right in and told us how she could totally use an uplifting message and that she is looking for a church to go to! It was awesome!! If we wouldn't have followed all of those promptings, we would've never met this cute mom. The spirit leads and guides us to the people god needs us to talk to! It is truly amazing.
I had a thought this week about christ. When Lazarus dies, mary is weeping and asks christ why he didnt come sooner. Christ then weeps with her. But why? He knew that mary would be okay. He knew that he could raise Lazarus from the dead. So why did he weep with her? I believe it is because he loves her so much that he was sympathizing with her. He probably hated to see her so sad and so hurt. And he knew her pain. Do you think christ weeps when we weep?
Christ already went through all the pain and anguish. Does he still feel pain and anguish when we are hurt or sad?
I would love anyone's thoughts or insights about this!! It is interesting to think about!!
I know christ loves us so deeply and so unconditionally!
Just like I love you all!! Have the best week!
Love love love, Sister brinton
