sleep talking prayers
Hello!! Sorry for not writing for a while I've been one busy bee!! I am doing great tho. We had transfers on thursday and BOY am I gonna miss my sweet sister glenn :"(( but GOOD NEWS I got the cutest new comp! Her name is sister russell :) she is an awesome missionary so I am excited to learn from her!
Raymond is doing amazing and is going to be baptized on the 22nd! He is probably my favorite person on earth. He quit smoking cold turkey and is doing AMAZING. IM SO PROUD I feel like his mom :') even tho he is 50 years older than me. Literally. haha.
One day we went grocery shopping with him to get things to help him stop smoking and he was supposed to pick out healthy snacks and guess what he got - TURNIPS hahahhahahahah. We were dying.
Funny story - so since we were in a trio we had all of our beds in one room. Sister piekarski doesn't ever sleep cause she has insomnia and so she hears us sleep talk sometimes. She said that one night sister glenn said "dear heavenly father" and then like a minute later I said "amen" HAHA. You know you've been together too long when you say prayers together in your sleep.
When people ask me what my favorite part of serving a mission is, I say that it is watching people change through christ and seeing a new light and happiness glow within them. I have seen such a change in the people I am teaching, but I have also seen such a change in myself - definately for the better. I have learned and grown so much. We can truly become new creatures in christ! My sweet mom sent me this and I loved it. She said "When we take the name of Jesus Christ upon us, we change...we become a different person. Taking his name upon us means we act like, respond like, talk like, love like and exemplify what Jesus Christ is. Because taking his name upon us means we are representing Him." I love being a missionary and wearing christs name on my heart always. Literally. It helps me to try to be more like him every day! It is such a privilege to represent him!!
