The WHY and the HOW

The past couple of weeks have been amazing. I have found that as I lose myself in this work and just do my best, I am the happiest! I am happiest when I forget myself and go to work. 

We were able to invite two of our friends to be baptized and we had to give one of our friends away to the elders because unfortunately, we found out he wasn't in our area :( 

Transfers are this week so I will let you know where I end up! I will be training a new missionary. I am excited for a new adventure! I couldn't do anything a mission requires without the Lord being by my side every step of the way. 

We were able to hear from some of our beloved general authorities this week and it was much needed. We were able to hear from Brad Wilcox and Elder Gay from the quorum of the 70.

One thing Brad Wilcox talked about is how the bible can tell you the who, what, when, and where. But only the book of mormon can tell you the WHY and the HOW of the atonement. In the bible, it says the word atonement 1 time. In the book of mormon it says the word atonement 39 times. The book of mormon is the way we can gain the strongest testimony of jesus christ and his atonement. And I can testify of that myself. I have truly become closer to my savior by reading the book of mormon than by any other way. 

A mission can feel lonely sometimes. I feel like nobody knows me! Nobody knows phoebe!! They don't love me like my family loves me or my friends love me. But I know that I am never alone because of the savior. And my heavenly father. I know they love me and know me better than anyone else. I see so many tender mercies every day that show me that they are aware of me and that they know just what I need exactly when I need it. 

Sister Boles birthday was yesterday so we painted at the park, slept on our porch, and had a fun scavenger hunt from the elders hahaha.
