What a WITNESS

Wow. Literally 2 weeks of straight MIRACLES. My heart is so full. Also, my companion was originally in New Zealand, not Australia haha. We are doing great and working hard!

We found a guy named Darrion to start teaching and he is SO cool. He was so excited to learn about the book of mormon. We came over and brought him one and he introduced us to his mom, Pam, and we had a really good conversation with them. The next day Darrion called and said that he had been reading the Book of Mormon and that it is changing his life already!! Sadly, they're not in our area so we have to give them to the elders.

We called a guy named Connor last week and he was what you call PREPARED. he had met with missionaries 3 years ago and he said the first time he read the Book of Mormon, he felt a sense of peace wash over him like he had never felt before, and he knew it was true. He stopped meeting with the missionaries due to mental health. He has been doing a lot better and had been thinking about calling the missionaries, but we beat him to it! He has a testimony of the restored gospel and told us he wants to be baptized asap!! Sadly, he's 24 so we have to give him to the YSA elders :(

We started teaching a guy named Michael and he is 66 and all he does is work out. He was so excited to hear from us and we had a really spiritual lesson with him. He wanted us to meet his brother and so we all met up at a park and they were obsessed with the book of mormon and thought it was the best thing they'd ever heard of. We gave them copies and they made us autograph them hahaha. They are looking for a church to go to! Sadly, they're not in our area so we have to give them to the other sisters.

We had the most amazing week filled with people who need and want God in their lives. Even though I wont be able to keep teaching them, I am so grateful for the chance I had to meet these humble people!!

Jessica picked a baptism date for November the 14th. She is so excited for the gift of the Holy Ghost. The Book of Mormon has helped her so much lately. She read a chapter and loved it so much that she said she just wants to keep rereading it.

A common theme you've probably noticed in my email today is the Book of Mormon and how it changes lives and the power that it brings to people. It has the power to soften hearts. I know it softened mine. My whole life, I never wanted to go on a mission! I was like "nooo that's not for me, that's way too hard, I can't be away for that long, etc.". I went to BYUH and had a book of mormon class that changed my life. My teachers were so christlike and showed me so much love. They genuinely cared about me. I decided to actually read the book of mormon each day and follow their schedule. And that is when my world changed! My heart changed. My testimony changed. My relationship with God changed. My countenance changed. And I started to gain a DESIRE! A desire to serve the Lord and be closer to him. I contribute my desire to serve a mission completely to the Book of Mormon. And my mission has changed my life. I know that as you act in faith and read the Book of Mormon, it will change you and your life for the better!! What a WITNESS <3

I love you!
